Definition

A code for a logistic mean is the identification of a logistic mean that is in use in the floriculture industry and is coded with a VBN (Union of the Dutch Flower auctions) packaging code.

The logistic means codes have so far been limited to the logistic means that are used by the VBN auctions. The codes for the logistic means are maintained by Royal FloraHolland and distributed by Floricode.

How to use

The codes of the logistic means are applied in electronic messages to identify the type of packaging of a batch of floricultural products.

How to obtain

The codes can be obtained via:

• FTP as CSV file
  The codes are packed info CSV files and then compressed.

• REST JSON API
• The data can be requested and searched via an API.
  This way, ad hoc specific codes can be requested or validated.
  Or, the latest data (mutations) can be queried and one's own database can be updated periodically.
